The B Cell Activation Factor (BAFF) ELISA Kit is a 1.5-hour solid-phase sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of BAFF in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates and body fluids. This kit is intended for research use only and may not be used for therapeutic or diagnostic applications.Detection Range:0.5-10ng/mlSensitivity:0.1ng/mlPrecision:Intra-assay %CV: <10Inter-assay %CV: <10Sensitivity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of BAFF (Human). No significant crossreactivity or interference with analogs was observed. Note: Crossreactivity detection between the BAFF and all analogs has not been determined and crossreaction may exist in some cases.Kit Components:182746A: Microtiter Strips, 1x48 or 1x96 wells182746B: Enzyme Conjugate, 1x6ml or 1x10ml182746C: Standard, 0ng/ml, 1x1 vial182746D: Standard, 0.5ng/ml, 1x1 vial182746E: Standard, 1ng/ml, 1x1 vial182746F: Standard, 2.5ng/ml, 1x1 vial182746G: Standard, 5ng/ml, 1x1 vial182746H: Standard, 10ng/ml, 1x1 vial182746J: Substrate A, 1x6ml182746K: Substrate B, 1x6ml182746L: Stop Solution, 1x6ml182746M: Wash Solution, 100X, 1x10ml182746N: Balance Solution, 1x3mlNote:The BALANCE SOLUTION is used only when the sample is cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate; if the sample is serum or plasma, then the BALANCE SOLUTION is a superfluous reagent. Storage and Stability:Store components at 4°C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.Assay Principle:The microtiter plate in this kit has been pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for BAFF. Standards and samples are added to the wells of the plate and bind to the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed on the addition of a standardized preparation of HRP-conjugated polyclonal antibody specific to BAFF. After the required incubation period, the wells are thoroughly washed to remove all unbound components. Substrate solutions are added. Only those wells containing the sandwich complex will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by addition of a sulfuric acid solution. The absorbance of each solution is read spectrophotometrically at 450nm. A standard curve relating the concentration of the standards to their absorbance values is plotted. The concentration of the antigen in the sample is interpolated from the standard curve.Contact:United States Biological4 Technology WaySalem, MA 01970www.usbio.netTech Support: tech@usbio.netCustomer Service: service@usbio.netTel: 781-639-5092 • 800-520-3011Fax: 978-594-8052
