Sample Type:Serum, plasma, tissue homogenatesIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of human Activated Leukocyte Cell Adhesion Molecule (ALCAM) concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates.Sensitivity:9.75pg/mlRange:39-2500pg/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human ALCAM. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human ALCAM and analogues was observed.Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for ALCAM has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ALCAM present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ALCAM is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ALCAM bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.Kit Components:Assay plate (12x8 coated microwells), 1x96 wellsStandard (Freeze dried), 2x vialsBiotin-antibody (100X), 1x120ulHRP-avidin (100X), 1x120ulBiotin-antibody Diluent, 1x15mlHRP-avidin Diluent, 1x15mlSample Diluent, 1x50mlWash Buffer (25X), 1x20mlTMB Substrate, 1x10mlStop Solution, 1x10mlAdhesive Strip (For 96 wells), 4x stripsInstruction manualStorage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C.
