背景资料: The importin-alpha/beta complex and the GTPase Ran mediatennuclear import of proteins with a classical nuclear localizationnsignal. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of a class ofnapproximately 20 potential Ran targets that share a sequence motifnrelated to the Ran-binding site of importin-beta. Similar tonimportin-beta, this protein prevents the activation of Ran's GTPasenby RanGAP1 and inhibits nucleotide exchange on RanGTP, and alsonbinds directly to nuclear pore complexes where it competes fornbinding sites with importin-beta and transportin. This protein hasna Ran-dependent transport cycle and it can cross the nuclearnenvelope rapidly and in both directions. At least four importinnbeta-like transport receptors, namely importin beta itself,ntransportin, RanBP5 and RanBP7, directly bind and import ribosomalnproteins.

免疫原: This IPO7 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 142-169 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human IPO7.

保存建议: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
